Ok, so I'm honestly torn about the question below. I want to date someone, there are a zillion Catholics where I'm at, but it's hard for me to meet people, due to both personal and circumstantial reasons. So I'm toying with (re)joining a Catholic singles site. I just wanted general opinion on whether or not you think that dating internet sites are cool or cheesy. Again, I see arguments for both sides, so I was curious as to others' opinions. Thanks!

Hope you all are having a fabulous day, and happy date hunting!

Have you also thought of trying eharmony? It's not specifically Catholic but you can tailor your responses so that it will find other like-minded Catholics out there (their questionnaire has a million questions!).

Not sure why I'm still on this ljfeed, but I met my boyfriend almost 2 years ago on okcupid.com. It's free so there's really nothing to lose.

i tried catholicmatch.com. Actually, I shouldn't have said cheesy, because my beautiful, outgoing best friend (who could've EASILY met someone in person) met her fiance on there! But with me...all I really got out of it was messages saying "I want to be your friend!" from men 20+ years older than me, when I CLEARLY (politely, but clearly) said in my profile, that I was't really interested in anyone that was 8 or so years older than me. (I'm only 24, was only 23 at the time, so I think that's fair.)

ugh

I tried Catholic Match. The only problem is that if you really want to "meet" someone you have to pay X amount of dollars to get a full account. I mean crap with all the gas prices going up so high and me being on SSI... I can't afford to spend any extra $$ right now. Oh well. I gave it a try. I haven't seen much in the way of progress.
